Workout Progressions
Without interruptions in the training cycle, each workout in a macrocycle should progress. The only workouts that repeat are recovery and regeneration sessions.
To classify different exercises and intensities, it's more helpful to describe them by their purpose than by their type. I prefer a combination of Jan Olbrecht's distinction between capacity, power, and regeneration. For types of loads, Renato Canova's distinction between internal and external load is the most helpful.
